Thank you for your assistance during this unannounced monitoring inspection. This on-site visit was conducted on March 15, 2018 from 11:10 a.m. through 2:45 p.m. Upon arrival, there were 59 children in the care of 11 staff. Six children's and six staff records were reviewed and updated. No medication is being administered at this time. Areas of non-compliance may be found on the violation notice. Areas observed were: free choice activity, educational activities, hand washing/bathroom and diapering procedures, lunch, nap, snack, music and story. Interactions between the staff were observed as positive and the children seem comfortable with the daily routine and schedule. Please contact me at 540-430-9256 if you have any questions and or if I may be of assistance with licensing standards.
Standard #: 22VAC40-185-40-E Description: Based on observation, the center failed to follow the terms of the current license issued by the department. Evidence: 1. On March 15, 2018, there were 59 children present during the inspection. 2. The capacity issued on the license is for 58 children. 3. The director confirmed there were 59 children present. Plan of Correction: A child that is enrolled in our center was transitioning into care in the infant classroom. We will schedule the children so no more than 58 children are present at one time.
