A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted on 03/19/18 to review supplemental health and safety requirements. Licensing Inspector arrived at 11:00am and departed at 1:00pm to conduct a Subsidy Health and Safety Inspection. At the time of the tour there were 52 children in care with 14 staff present. Children were observed a sample of 2 staff and 5 children's records were reviewed in addition to 4 medications and 1 over-the-counter skin product. Children were observed eating lunch, during nap and being read a story. Infants were observed sleeping in cribs and being fed by staff. A licensing inspection was also conducted this date; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. Violations were found during the supplemental subsidy health and safety inspection requirements and are identified on the violation notice.
Standard #: VENDSUB-000-006-B-11 Description: Based on a record review the vendor did not have a written allergy care plan for each child with a diagnosed food allergy, to include instructions from a physician regarding the food to which the child is allergic to and steps to be taken in the event of a suspected or confirmed allergic reaction. Evidence: Child #1 and child #2 both had documented food allergies, however, the vendor did not have a written plan from a physician regarding steps to be taken in the vents of an allergic reaction. Plan of Correction: Plans have been requested from both families to address the food allergies.
