63.2 Child Abuse and Neglect

Comments:
An unannounced inspection was conducted today in response to a self-reported incident regarding negative staff interactions with children. The preponderance of evidence does not support the allegations. Based on interviews conducted and documentation reviewed, a violation was cited for required staff trainings and is identified in the Violation Notice.

Standard #: 22VAC40-185-240-A
Description: Based on review of two staff records, the center did not ensure staff received required training by the end of their first day assuming job responsibilities. Evidence: Staff 1 did not complete training for child abuse and neglect and the legal requirements for reporting suspected child abuse as required by 63.2-1509 of the Code of Virginia.
