A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted on 3/23/18 to review supplemental health and safety requirements. The inspection took place from 10:15am-1:45pm. 34 children were in the care of 6 staff present. Additional staff arrived during the inspection. A total of 2 staff and 3 children's records were reviewed, in addition to emergency drills and other documents. Children were observed engaged in various activities, including use of technology, arts and crafts, socializing with peers, playing with blocks and other manipulatives. Positive interactions were observed between staff and children. A licensing inspection was also conducted this date; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. Violations were found during the supplemental subsidy health and safety inspection requirements and are identified on the violation notice. Please contact me if you have any questions at Ivaco.Clarke@dss.virginia.gov or 571-835-5505.
