Technical Assistance:
An exit interview was conducted with one of the owners to discuss the results of today's inspection. Consultation was given regarding updated background check regulations.

Comments:
An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted today, March 27, 2018 to determine the center's compliance with licensing standards. The inspection was initiated at 2:15pm and concluded at approximately 5:15pm. Upon arrival, the following ratios were observed: Infant room 1: 9 children/ 3 staff Infant room 2 (older): 4 children/ 1 staff Toddler room: 15 children/ 3 staff (nap time ratio) Two year olds: 8 children/ 1 staff (nap time ratio) Three year olds: 10 children/ 1 staff (nap time ratio) Three-Four year old room: 8 children/ 1 staff (nap time ratio) Four year old room: 9 children/ 1 staff (nap time ratio) Children were observed using the restroom, coloring pictures, playing with toys, and participating in free play. Children's books, toys, and equipment were inspected and found to be age appropriate and in operable condition. All classrooms were inspected to include main hallways and children's restrooms. The outdoor playground was inspected and found to be in compliance with licensing standards. The center had the following posted: license, daily schedule, emergency numbers, evacuation maps, previous inspection, and various parent information. These postings are located on the wall upon entering the center and in children's classrooms. The center's first aid kit and emergency supplies were inspected with additional supplies found. Annual health and fire inspections were reviewed and found to be updated. Ten children's records and five staff/owner records were inspected with the required information found captured. The following was also inspected: medication log, MAT certificates, first aid/CPR certifications, parent agreements, injury prevention plan, playground safety procedures, and other pertinent information. Description: Based on the inspection of the facility, an unsafe area was observed upstairs near the children's restroom. Evidence: During the inspection of the facility, frayed carpet possibly causing a tripping hazard to children was found in the hallway near the children's restroom.
