Thank you for your time and assistance with the unannounced monitoring inspection conducted on March 27, 2018. The on-site inspection was from 1:45 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. On this date, there were 222 school-aged children in six groups and in the care of 14 staff members. An extra staff member was available to assist if needed. The total enrollment for this session's program was 243 children. The records of ten staff members' and ten children's records were reviewed. The medication and medication paperwork were reviewed for five children. There were seven staff members and five children interviewed. The area of noncompliance was noted on the violation notice and the risk rating was noted on the supplemental page. Outdoor play was not observed due to inclement weather. Some of the items reviewed/observed included: required posted information, injury reports, first aid kit, emergency supplies, warm water temperature, annual health and fire inspections, arrival procedures, transitions, large motor games in the Arena, play on the climbing wall, in the bouncy house and on the indoor play structure in the Big Room, snack, hand washing and bathroom procedures, art activities, table games, homework time, and dismissal procedures. Standard #: 22VAC40-185-280-B Description: Based on observation and discussion with staff, the center failed to keep hazardous substances in a locked location. Evidence: 1. On a counter in Classroom #1, there was a container of Clorox Disinfecting Wipes. The wipes were not locked and accessible to the children in care. 2. On an open shelf in Classroom #2, there were two containers of Clorox Disinfecting Wipes and two spray bottles of bleach water. Plan of Correction: The cleaning supplies were moved to a locked location during the inspection.
