Technical assistance today included allergy action plans and medication authorizations.
An unannounced subsidy and health inspection took place today from 11:10 am - 12:10 pm. There were 97 children present with 14 staff. I observed lunchtime and preparation for nap. This inspection plus the the subsequent licensing inspection meet the requirements for a SSHI inspection. If you have any questions, please contact me at email@example.com
Standard #: VENDSUB-000-006-B-11 Description: Based on a review of medication records today, not all children with medications had allergy action plans available today. Evidence: Of three children with diagnosed allergies requiring medication, Child # 2 and # 3 did not have documentation of an allergy action plan as required. Plan of Correction: Update medication tracking system, audit MAT forms and meds.
Standard #: VENDSUB-000-012-B Description: Based on a review of staff records today, not all staff files had documentation of the completed Virginia Preservice Training within 90 days as required. Evidence: Staff # 2 (hired 3/13) and #4 (hired 8/14) had no documentation available today to demonstrate completion of Virginia Preservice Training. Plan of Correction: All staff will be trained by 4/15/28.
