Discussed physical plant with the director.
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted on 3/21/2017 from 10:30am until 12:30pm. Upon arrival to the facility, there were 77children present with 14 staff members. The children were observed participating in age appropriate activities, hand washing, diapering and eating lunch. A sample of 7 children's records and 7 staff records were reviewed. The licensing inspector toured the facility and reviewed supervision, emergency supplies, practice drills, nutrition, physical plant, required postings, and administration. The violation cited was in the area of special feeding needs. An exit meeting was conducted with the facility director prior to the end of the inspection
Standard #: 22VAC40-185-570-E Description: Based upon observation and interview the facility did not ensure that prepared infant formula was dated as required. Evidence: 1. During the inspector's tour of the facility it was found that a child's refrigerated bottle of milk was not labeled with a date of when the bottle was prepared. a. The bottle belonged to child #7. b. Child #7 was in attendance during the time of the violation. c. The director of the facility identified and confirmed the violation. Plan of Correction: Not available online.
