Background check requirements and the new application were reviewed.

Comments:
Two licensing inspectors conducted an unannounced monitoring inspection from 10:10 a.m. until 12:15 p.m. There were 34 infants and children in care with staff supervising at all times. The children were observed on the playground, at centers, during diapering, at circle time, and washing their hands. Five staff and five children?s records were reviewed. Medications and the corresponding paperwork was reviewed. The one violation is identified on the violation notice. If you have any questions, please contact your licensing inspector at 276-698-9981. Description: Based on observation, the center did not keep all medication locked. Evidence: 1. The inspectors observed a bottle of children's liquid pain reliever in a basket in the office behind the large desk.

Plan of Correction: Corrected during the inspection.
