Technical Assistance:
We reviewed the procedure for ensuring sight and sound supervision of children when leading the group from the gym to the entry hall and outside using the nearby exit.

Comments:
Thank you for your assistance during the unannounced monitoring inspection conducted from 2:40 PM to 5:35 PM. Today, there were forty-two children, ages five to twelve years, with four to five staff. Two teen volunteers arrived on a school bus. It was reported that thirteen elementary school children were supervised before school by two staff. I viewed staffing, supervision, interactions with children, program activities, daily routines, equipment, menu, snack, posted information, agency reports, emergency planning, emergency supplies and drill records, five records for children, medication, seven staff training records, and indoor areas. The children enjoyed active play in the gym, table activities, games such as bingo, and a spring art activity. Homework assistance was provided in the cafeteria. There were no violations at this inspection. Let me know if you have any questions. 540/430-9259
