An unannounced monitoring inspection was done today April 19, 2018. The inspector arrived at 9: 00 AM and departed the program at 12:00 P.M. There were 22 children in care today with five staff supervising the children. The children gathered in the big room in the morning and then went to their individual classroom. The children were observed during chapel and in their classrooms. Morning snack was also observed. The majority of children leave at 1:00 PM but some stayed for the afternoon program which ends at 6:00 PM. Five staff's records and five children's records were reviewed during the inspection.
Standard #: 22VAC40-191-40-D-1-C Description: Based on review of five staff's records, the center failed to ensure that all Background checks were submitted and returned within the required three years. Evidence: 1. The record for staff # 4 CRC was not completed within the three year time frame. The CRC was 11/6/2014 and the new CRC was completed on 2/7/2018. Plan of Correction: In the future all background checks will be completed and returned before the required time frame.
