An unannounced monitoring visit was conducted today. All rooms were in ratio with direct care staff. Children were observed playing with room supplies, reading, interactions with staff, infant care and diapering. Two staff records, emergency preparation, diapering and lunches (labeled and dated) are bought from home. Areas of non-compliance are identified in the violation notice. Standard #: 22VAC40-185-440-A Description: Based on center statement, a crib is not used for the infant in care. Evidence: No crib was present in the classroom and the child sleeps in the bouncy seat or is held by a staff member. Plan of Correction: A crib will be placed in the classroom.
