Comments:
An unannounced Renewal Inspection was conducted this date. A total of 63 children with 4 staff and an administrative staff was present during the inspection. The children were observed transitioning into the program where they placed their belongings in their designated bins and prepared to call attendance. Hand washing and bathroom procedures were observed prior to snack. The children had a choice of bagged snacks and juice to drink. Children were observed breaking into small and large groups. One half of the group participated in gross motor activities in the gym and the younger children were observed completing homework, table top games and stacking blocks and completing drawings. Children enjoyed sitting in bean bag chairs while the completed homework and drawings. 11 medications on site at this time, all of which were reviewed. A total of 10 children's records were reviewed. MAT (medication administration training) training and first aid/CPR certifications and daily health observation training were checked today. Staff records are reviewed annually in the administrative office. This inspection began at 2pm and ended at 3:50pm Thank you for your cooperation today. Description: Based on review of medication on site, the center has not followed their own medication policy. Evidence: The center's medication policy is to have a method to prevent use of outdated medication. Benadryl for Child # 7 expired in March 2018 and has remained on site.

Plan of Correction: We will return this medication immediately and will ensure that medication on site does not expire.

Description: Based on review of the center's medication on site, some medication was found not labeled. Evidence: Benadryl for Child #7, #9 and #10 was not labeled with each child's name.

Plan of Correction: We will label this medication today with each child's name.
