Comments:
Today an unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted between the hours of 2:20pm and 4:00pm. I observed 57 children directly supervised by 4 staff. Ratios and supervision were in compliance. Children were observed arriving to the program, doing homework, reading, coloring, playing table games, participating in group play and eating snack. Today's snack consisted of CapriSun-Fruit Punch 100% juice and Baked Cheddar Goldfish. Staff were actively engaged with the children and assisting them with tasks as needed. The physical plant, 6 children?s records, medications, evacuation drills, emergency supplies, and policies were inspected. The cafeteria was found to be clean, safeguarded appropriately, and adequately supplied with equipment and supplies. Medication management was in compliance. Required staff training documents were on-site. Emergency preparedness supplies in order. Required documents posted. Record keeping was in compliance. Questions about this inspection may be directed to Maria Soto at maria.soto@dss.virginia.gov
