Discussed new fingerprinting procedures.
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted on April 30, 2018 from 1:40pm until 3:00pm. Upon arrival to the facility, there were 70eighty children present with 17 staff members. The children were observed participating in age appropriate activities, outdoor play, hand washing, diapering and napping. A sample of 7 children's records and 7 staff records were reviewed. The licensing inspector toured the facility and reviewed supervision, emergency supplies, practice drills, nutrition, physical plant, required postings, and administration. A violation was cited in the area of programs. An exit meeting was conducted with the facility director prior to the end of the inspection.
Standard #: 22VAC40-185-440-E Description: Based upon observation and interview the provider did not ensure that there was at least 12 inches of space between occupied cots, beds, and rest mats Evidence: 1. During the inspectors tour of the facility it was found that less than 12 inches of space was between occupied rest mats. a. Children in the 3 year old room were napping during the time of the violation. b. Child #1's rest mat was located horizontally at the foot of another occupied rest mat in the 3 year old room. c. Child # 1 rest mat was positioned less than 12 inches apart from another occupied rest mat. d. The staff #7 toured the 3 year old room with the inspector and also identified and confirmed the violation. Plan of Correction: Not available online. Contact Inspector for more information.
