Today an unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted starting at 2:05pm. There were 54 children present today with 4 staff. Children were observed arriving from school, coloring, playing board games and eating an afternoon snack. There is currently 1 medication on site and authorizations were reviewed. Medication Administration Training (MAT) and First Aid/CPR certifications were checked today. Staff records are reviewed annually in the administrative office. Standard #: 22VAC40-185-280-B Description: Based on observation, hazardous substances were not kept in a locked place. Evidence: There are two cleaning materials that belong to the school cafeteria that were left on top of a recycling bin in the corner of the cafeteria. The cleaning materials were accessible to the children. Plan of Correction: This was corrected during the inspection. The site supervisor will talk with the school kitchen staff tomorrow and ask them to put all cleaners away before they leave at the end of the day.
