An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted on May 2, 2018, between the hours of approximately 9:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Thirty-two (32) children were enrolled and thirty-one (31) children were in the care of four staff members, in two classrooms, during the on site inspection. Five children's records, four staff records and two administrative staff records were reviewed and/or updated. One child's medications and accompanying authorization forms were reviewed/observed. Posted information (license, licensing inspection documentation, emergency evacuation diagram and plan notification, emergency telephone numbers, menus, asbestos notification and classroom schedules), safety equipment (first aid kit, flashlight and radio) and available documents (emergency evacuation drill/shelter-in-place drill record, attendance records, local agency reports and asbestos surveillance) were reviewed. The daily schedules and menus accurately reflected the activities and snacks provided. Snacks, on this date, consisted of pretzels, pineapple and milk (4-year-old classroom) and pretzels, mandarin oranges and milk (3-year-old classroom). Program observation was completed and included: arrival of children; free choice time; art/craft learning activities - making caterpillers, writing names, coloring (markers) and "All About Me Books" - hand prints; group picture (4-year-old classroom); group time (weather, days of the week, counting and alphabet letters); handwashing and restroom procedures; transitions; snack; storytime (with librarian); water color painting; outdoor play and dismissal/pick-up. Staff/child interactions were observed to be positive, patient and supportive of children's growth and development. The facility was observed to be clean and supplied with a variety of age/stage appropriate learning and play materials/toys. Procedures were observed to be in place to ensure the safety of the children in care (head counts, restroom "sign" and dismissal/pick-up procedures). Inspection findings were discussed and no violations of licensing standards were cited. Thank you for your time and assistance. Please contact me if you have concerns regarding this inspection, the licensing standards and/or if I may be of assistance to you.

In addition, the online compliance history includes information regarding adverse actions that may be the subject of a pending appeal. An adverse action is not final until a provider has exhausted or waived all due process rights. For compliance history prior to July 1, 2003, or information regarding the status of pending adverse actions, please contact the Licensing Inspector listed in the facility's information.
