An unannounced, mandated monitoring inspection was conducted today. The inspector arrived at 11:30 AM and departed at 1:50 PM. Eighty five children were in care. Morning activities, lunch service and nap time were observed. A sample size of three staff records and five children's records were reviewed. medication administration was reviewed. No children's injuries were reported. An exit meeting was conducted with the program director prior to closure of the inspection.
Standard #: 22VAC40-191-40-D-3-D Description: Based upon review of three staff records and staff interview, the facility has not ensured that they obtain a search of the child protective services (CPS)central registry before three years since the date of the last search of the central registry. Evidence: 1. The most recent CPS central registry search in the record provided for staff 3 is dated 10/12/2013. 2. Staff 4 was unable to provide a more recent central registry search for staff 3. Plan of Correction: The facility responded with the following: A new CPS central registry search will be obtained for staff 3 if the search obtained and dated 2016 cannot be located. All staff files will be checked to ensure that central registry searches are obtained in a timely fashion.
