- Technical Assistance:
Discussed that the children are not using the left side of the playground until the grass can be sprayed because of the bees. Surfacing will be raked around the Little Tykes climbers located on the far left, children are not using this area because of the bees in the ground/grass. Reminded Director to complete renewal application and mail to our Fairfax office.
An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted from 9:00 am-11:30. There were a total of 79 children with 17 staff members present. Children were observed engaged in group activities; circle time, mother day cards, story time about life cycle of butterflies, addition and number line. A selection of staff and children records, medications and other documents were reviewed. There were no violations cited this date. Discussed with Director concerns with the red climber on the far right side of the playground. The director stated that the children are not using the red climber and she will place caution tape around the climber until the climber can be removed or surfacing applied.
