An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted this date. A total of 31 children with 2 staff were present during the inspection. Children were observed entering the program from their school day. They were familiar with placing their belongings in their individual bins and sitting quietly at the tables for attendance. A nice transition was observed of them lining up for hand washing prior to snack. Snack today was Capri Sun and chocolate chip bars. Second servings were available for those who were interested. The children and staff were discussing plans for the end of the year party. Children were able to express their opinions about the menu items. Homework was being completed by those who had assignments and those who did not were able to quietly read individually. Staff observed assisting some children with their homework as needed. Plans for the upcoming talent show was also discussed and preparation of soil was made for planting seeds. Mother's Day projects were also underway. A total of 6 children's records were reviewed and determined complete. MAT (medication administration training) training, Daily Health Observation training and first aid/CPR certifications were checked today. Emergency contacts for both staff were maintained. Staff records are reviewed annually in the administrative office.
