- Technical Assistance:
During the inspection, the licensing representative discussed with the center director training requirements and deadlines for a recent hire.
A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted on 5/7/2018 to review supplemental health and safety requirements. A total of 33 children were observed in the care of 9 staff present. A sample of 6 staff and 6 children's records were reviewed, in addition to emergency supplies, emergency drills and outdoor play equipment. Children were observed during storytime, arts and crafts, handwashing and transitions to lunch. A licensing inspection was also conducted this date; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. Violations were found during the supplemental subsidy health and safety inspection requirements and are identified on the violation notice. Standard #: VENDSUB-000-006-B-11 Description: Based on a sample review of records, the records for 3 children with diagnosed and documented food allergies were missing written allergy care plans. Evidence: The records for the following children were missing complete written allergy care plans: Child #4 [diagnosed allergies to peanuts, seafood and milk] Child #5 [diagnosed allergies to eggs and peanuts] Child # [diagnosted allergies to peanuts and shellfish] Plan of Correction: We will continue to request this information from the parents.
