A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted on 5/10/18 and 5/11/18 to review supplemental health and safety requirements. An unannounced monitoring inspection was made on 5/10/18. There were 23 children ages five thorugh 11 years present with two staff supervising. Five children's records were reviewed. Two new staff records were reviewed on 5/11/18 to verify licensing and subsidy requirements. The inspection was completed on 5/11/18 at the main YMCA site with the child care coordinator. Three medications were observed at the site. The inspector arrived at the school at 2:30 pm and departed at 4:30 pm. The inspection was completed on 5/11/18 from 8:30 to 9:30 am. A licensing inspection was also conducted this date; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. Violations were found during the supplemental subsidy health and safety inspection requirements and are identified on the violation notice.
Standard #: VENDSUB-000-012-E Description: Based on record review and interview, the center failed to ensure that all staff had first aid and CPR within 30 days of employment. Evidence: 1. Staff #2 who was hired 3/9/18 did not have documentation of first aid and CPR certification. 2. Staff #2 confirmed that she did not have first aid and CPR certification. Plan of Correction: According to the child care coordinator the staff person had completed the on line portion of the training and will complete the hands on training.
