SNAP Outreach Partners

The Virginia Department of Social Services (VDSS) works with community partners to make sure more families know about and can access the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP). Outreach partners help connect people to food support, answer questions and guide them through the application process.

Together, we can reduce hunger and strengthen communities. By partnering with VDSS, your agency becomes part of a statewide effort to give every Virginian the resources they need to live healthier, more secure lives.

Outreach partners may:

• Share information about SNAP in local communities
• Assist with SNAP applications and renewals
• Provide training or workshops on nutrition and benefits
• Connect families to other local resources and supports
