Child Protective Services Unit is located in the Division of Family Services (DFS). The duties of this unit include the development of CPS program policies, procedures, and guidelines around protective services for children; development of statewide public awareness and education programs; identification of local agency training needs; administration of state and federal grants to prevent abuse and neglect; maintenance of a statewide database for child abuse and neglect; and dissemination of statistical information. |
