Comments:

On 11/15/2019 one inspector conducted a complaint investigation (4:15PM to 4:55PM) regarding resident rights. Two residents and a sitter were interviewed. Evidence shows one of the residents was not accorded a resident right. The complaint is valid. During the inspection and at the exit interview, the facility was given the opportunity to discuss the violations and to show that they were in compliance. Please complete the plan of correction and date to be corrected for each violation cited on the violation notice and return it to your licensing inspector within 10 calendar days from today. You will need to specify how the deficient practice will be or has been corrected. Just writing the word ?corrected? is not acceptable. Your plan of correction must contain the following: 1) steps to correct the noncompliance with the standard(s); 2) measures to prevent the noncompliance from occurring again; and 3) person(s) responsible for implementing each step and/or monitoring any preventive measure(s). Description:	Based on interviews, the facility failed to provide a resident with the rights and responsibilities as provided in ? 63.2-1808 of the Code of Virginia. EVIDENCE: 1. An interview with resident 1 shows that staff 1 failed to treat the resident with courtesy and respect, as required by ? 63.2-1808 subsection A-11 of the Code of Virginia. Resident 1 stated that in the past, staff 1 has come into her room at 5AM, flicks on the light, and says loudly, "time to get up". Resident 1 stated she likes "to get up quietly, and that staff one has been inconsiderate, loud, and rude". She is "happy that staff 1 doesn't provide care for her anymore".
