Comments:
A subsidy health and safety inspection was completed on August 20, 2019 from approximately 10:30a.m. to 1:30p.m. to review supplemental health and safety requirements. Two hundred and twenty-one school age children were in care and twenty-six staff were on premises. Staff and children were observed at outdoor camp locations engaged in activities to include swimming, playing games, playing in a bounce house, eating lunch, and transition to different activities. Interviews and interactions were conducted and medications were reviewed. Ten children?s records and five staff emergency contacts were reviewed. Complete staff records will be reviewed on a different date at the corporate office where they are maintained. The Director, camp medic, and Assistant Director were available for the inspection. The Administrative Assistant was present at the exit interview at which time inspection findings were reviewed. A licensing inspection was conducted on the same date as the SHSI supplemental inspection; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. No violations of the supplemental subsidy health and safety requirements were found.
