Comments:
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted on 5/3/24 from 10:30 to 11:40. The center had 46 children present with 14 adults, in 5 groupings.
The children had snack, played outside, built with blocks, had a mystery reader and played with foam shape. Lots of interaction between staff and children observed in all groupings. Discussed the request for an increase in capacity back to pre-covid which was 55, for next year.
Reviewed 4 staff files and 6 children's files. A violation notice was given to the center along with this inspection summary. Please call me at 703-203-8659 or email me at pernille.brandt@doe.virginia.gov, if you have any questions regarding this inspection.

Violations:
Standard #: 8VAC20-780-510-I
Description: Based on the review of medications, the center failed to get the original prescription box for one medication.
Evidence: One emergency medication is in the medication bag without the box and prescription label.

Plan of Correction: We will ask the parent for the medication box, and they will drop it off at pick up.
