An unannounced complaint inspection was initiated and completed on April 22, 2024, in response to a complaint that was received by the licensing department on March 27, 2024, regarding staffing and supervision, rodents and the physical plant. On April 22, 2024, the inspector was on site from 10:30 AM to 11:45 AM. Interviews with staff were completed, observations were made in the center, and documentation were reviewed.
The preponderance of the evidence gathered during the investigation does not supports the allegation. Therefore, the complaint is determined to be not valid. Violations were found in other areas of the standards.
Please complete the ?plan of correction? and ?date to be corrected? for each violation cited on the violation notice and return it to me within 5 business days from today. Please specify how the deficient practice will be or has been corrected. Your plan of correction should contain: 1) steps to correct the noncompliance with the standard(s), 2) measures to prevent the noncompliance from occurring again; and 3) person(s) responsible for implementing each step and/or monitoring any preventive measure(s).

Standard #: 8VAC20-780-500-A Complaint related: No Description: Based on observation, the center failed to ensure that staff shall wash their hands with soap and running water before and after diapering and children's hands shall be washed with soap and running water after a diaper change.
Evidence: A staff member in the infant classroom was observed diapering a child. Staff did not wash their hands or the child?s hands after diapering. After diapering the child, staff placed the child on the floor and staff picked up several other objects in the classroom.Plan of Correction: Not available online.
