A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection (SHSI) was conducted on June 10, 2019 to review supplemental health and safety requirements. The inspector arrived at approximately 3:25 PM and concluded the inspection at 5:25 PM. The census for today's inspection consisted of 48 children. Staff and children were observed eating snack and participating in camp closing group time. Children's equipment, learning materials, outdoor and indoor space, restrooms, and the first aid and nonmedical emergency supplies were inspected. Five children's records, five staff records, annual fire and health inspections, fire drill, shelter in place and lock down drill logs, daily attendance and required postings were reviewed. The center administers medication and all required documentation was reviewed. The director was available for the inspection and was present at the exit interview at which time inspection findings were reviewed and an Acknowledgement of Inspection form was signed and left with the licensee. A licensing inspection was conducted on the same date as the SHSI supplemental inspection; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. No violations of the supplemental subsidy health and safety requirements were found.
