A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection (SHSI) was conducted on Wednesday, October 16, 2019 to review supplemental health and safety requirements. The inspector arrived at 4:05 PM and concluded the inspection at 6:15 PM. The census for today's inspection consisted of 24 children. During the inspection, children were observed working on homework, coloring, reading books, and eating snack. Children's equipment, learning materials, outdoor and indoor space, restrooms, first aid kit and the nonmedical emergency supplies were reviewed. Five children's records and three staff emergency contact information, annual fire and health inspections, liability insurance policy, fire drill, lockdown and shelter in place drill logs, emergency plan, injury prevention plan, daily attendance, and all required postings were reviewed. The provider stated that transportation is provided and the vehicle and transportation documents were reviewed. Medication will be administered per the request of parents and staff with current Medication Administration Training (MAT) will be present when children are in care.
A licensing inspection was also conducted on this date; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. No violations of the supplemental subsidy health and safety requirements were found.
