An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today, September 28, 2023 to determine the centers compliance with licensing standards. The licensing inspector was on site from approximately 9:30 am until 11:30 am. The Director assisted with the inspection. There were 14 children present, ranging in ages from three years to four years, with three staff supervising. Upon the inspector?s arrival, children were playing in centers that consisted of ocean animals, kitchen set, coloring, blocks, and pirate ship. The four-year-old class went to library and listened to a story while the three-year-old class had circle time where they matched colors and read the story Ten Apples Up on Top. The art project coincided with the story and children used paint dots to stack apples on top of a picture. Later children washed their hands and had lunch.
The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition. A total of five child records and five staff records were reviewed. The inspector interacted with staff and children in care.
The information gathered during the inspection determined no violations with applicable standards or law. No violations were issued.
