Standard #: 22VAC40-665-550-2 Description: Based on interview , the center did not inform the department's representative as soon as practicable, but not more than two business days, of any injury to a child while under the vendor's supervision when a referral is made for treatment from a medical professional.
Evidence: During the inspection on 01/07/2020, the interviews revealed there were two separate incidents resulting in injuries sustained by Child#1 on 12/11/19 and Child#2 on 12/27/19 at the center which required treatment from a medical professional. Interviews confirmed knowledge of both incidents at the center requiring medical treatment and the department's representative were not informed.Plan of Correction: The center will inform the DSS of any emergency injuries to a child within two business days of the incident.
