Technical Assistance:
The Licensing Inspector has reviewed with the provider COVID-19 Essential Guidance for Child Care programs.

Comments:
-This annual subsidy inspection was conducted by the inspector using an alternate remote protocol necessary due to a state of emergency declared by the Governor of Virginia in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Preliminary data was obtained from the vendor on 6/24/2020.

-An annual subsidy inspection was initiated on 6/25/2020, at which time the vendor was contacted by telephone to initiate the inspection, and concluded on 6/29/2020. The inspector emailed the vendor a list of items required to complete the inspection.
The vendor reported there was 1 child in care and no children living in the home under the age of 12 present with the vendor. The inspector reviewed 2 children?s records and 2 adult/household member records submitted by the vendor to ensure compliance with the health and safety regulations.
The Licensing Inspector has reviewed with the provider COVID-19 Essential Guidance for
Child Care programs.

-Information gathered during the inspection determined areas of non-compliance with applicable regulations or law, and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the vendor.

Violations:
Standard #: 22VAC40-665-180-2-a-2
Description: Based on a review of records and interview, the provider was unable to demonstrate that each caregiver's record contained satisfactory results of a Central Registry Check.

Evidence:
Two vendor / caregiver records were reviewed. The vendor was unable to locate documentation of the results of a Central Registry Check for Provider / Household member #1 and #2 . The vendor stated that she recalls completing the paperwork and submitting the requests at the time the time of her initial vendor agreement. However, she was unable to locate the documentation during the inspection.

Plan of Correction: The vendor submitted to the inspector, on 6/29/2020, a copy of the completed paperwork for the central registry searches for Provider / Household member #1 and #2 along with a copy of the money orders to have the searches conducted. The results will be forwarded to the licensing inspector and filed in the records for Provider / Household member #1 and #2 upon receipt.
