This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, including telephone contacts, documents review, interviews and a virtual tour of the program.
A monitoring inspection was initiated on November 23, 2021 and concluded on November 23, 2021. The director was contacted by telephone and a virtual inspection was conducted. There were 13 children present, ranging in ages from three to five years, with three staff supervising. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition. A total of two children records and two staff records were reviewed.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Standard #: 8VAC20-780-560-G Description: Based on observation and interview, the center did not ensure all food brought from home was clearly dated and labeled in a way that identified the owner.
Evidence:
During the virtual inspection, the lunches the children brought from home were observed to be not dated or labeled with the child's name. A member of management confirmed lunches were not labeled with names and dates.Plan of Correction: We will ensure staff check lunches to ensure they are labeled and dated correctly.
