Today we discussed:
- Playground and resilient surface: As there is not any resilient surface on the playground please remember that equipment requiring resilient surface is not permitted unless appropriate resilient surface is installed first.
- Staff records, qualifications and background checks.
- Supervision and the need for two people to be present during all hours of operation.
- Comments:

An initial inspection was conducted today from 9:30am through 11:30am. As this was an initial inspection there were not any children in care. A walking tour inside the center included measuring each room. The outside play space was reviewed. The center is requesting a capacity of 50 children ages 17months through 12 years. At the time of the inspection background checks were not available for review. The provider will contact the inspector once the background checks are received. A recommendation for licensure will be made once all background checks have been reviewed.
While all areas of standards were discussed and reviewed during the initial inspection all standards could not be determined as there were not any children in care. At the first unannounced inspection those areas of standards that could not be determined will be determined at that time. All inspections going forward will be unannounced.
