Comments:
This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia.
A monitoring inspection was initiated on 08/26/2020 and concluded on 08/28/2020. The director was contacted by phone to initiate the inspection. There were 86 children present and 15 staff present. The inspector emailed the director a list of items required to complete the inspection. The inspector reviewed 4 children?s records and 4 staff records submitted by the facility to ensure documentation was complete. The licensing inspector has reviewed with the provider COVID-19 Essential Guidance for Child Care programs.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with two applicable standards or law and violations and were documented on the violation notice issued to the facility.

Violations:
Standard #: 22VAC40-185-550-D
Description: Based on documentation and interview, all monthly required drills had not been completed.
Evidence:
1. The inspector reviewed documentation of the drill, and no drills too place in May and June

Plan of Correction: The new director will make sure all required drills are completd and documented.

Standard #: 22VAC40-191-60-C-2
Description: Based on record review and interview, an employee did not have a central registry finding .completed within 30 days.
Evidence:
1. The inspector reviewed 4 staff records. One of four records (#3) did have a completed central registry finding and the employee had been employed longer than 30 days.

Plan of Correction: The director sent for CPS check as soon as it was discovered not completed and will notify the inspector when it has been processed. All records will be reviewed to make sure they are complete.
