An unannounced mandated inspection was completed from 4:50 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. There were 28 children in care with three school-age staff supervising. Children were observed playing on the playground, doing homework, being as assisted with a playground incident, and being picked up by their guardians.
Five children's records were reviewed. Three staff records were reviewed at the main office on 04/25/2022.
The inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and the violation was documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Standard #: 8VAC20-780-260-A Description: Based on interview and record review, the center did not have an annual fire inspection.
Evidence:
1. The last fire inspection was completed 10/21/2020.Plan of Correction: The director has spoken to the school and was told the Town of PUlaski currently has a vacancy for the fire marshal. The fire chief has been contacted but no one has called back.
