An unannounced Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted with the vendor on June 27, 2022 beginning at 2:14 PM and ending at 2:59 PM. There were two children, ages 15 months and 10 years old, in the care of the vendor. The children were observed interacting with the provider, playing with toys, and watching age appropriate television. The vendor?s records and one household member?s record were reviewed and in compliance. Two children?s records were reviewed. The practice emergency escape drill log was reviewed. The first aid kit, flashlight, and radio were reviewed and in compliance.

Standard #: 22VAC40-665-410-A-1 Description: Based on a review of documentation, the vendor did not implement a monthly practice evacuation drill. Evidence: There was no documentation of a monthly practice evacuation drill being conducted. Plan of Correction: The vendor will complete monthly emergency evacuation drills as required by the Subsidy program.
Standard #: 8VAC20-790-190-B Description: Based on a review of documentation, the vendor did not obtain documentation of physical examination for children in care within the first 30 days of attendance. Evidence: There was no documentation of a physical examination in the child A and child B?s record. Plan of Correction: The vendor stated that she would request a copy of the physical from the parent.
