8VAC20-790 Subsidy Program Vendor Requirements for Family Day Homes

An announced initial subsidy health and safety inspection was conducted on 12/19/2023 beginning at 8:55am and ending at 10:40am. There were no children in attendance at the time of the inspection. Required background searches, training certificates and household member information was reviewed. A sample of requirements for daily attendance, child information/records, emergency preparedness planning and supplies were also reviewed. The information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or laws and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the vendor.

Standard #: 8VAC20-790-260-A Description: Based on review of the home, areas of the family day home were not maintained in a safe condition.
Evidence: Television was sat on top of bending board placed on top of fireplace. Risk of television falling on top of children.Plan of Correction: Television will be secured to the wall so there is no risk of it falling.
