Comments:

The licensing inspector conducted an unannounced Subsidy Health and Safety inspection Monday, August 26, 2019 from approximately 10:20 AM to 3:45 PM to review supplemental health and safety requirements. The children were observed in a variety of activities ranging from playing outside to eating lunch.The center administers medication, and medication and medication authorization forms were reviewed. The center provides transportation and the vehicles and transportation documents were inspected. The center's first aid kit and emergency supplies were inspected. Last evacuation drill: 06/19/2019 Last shelter in place drill: 09/17/2018 Last lockdown drill: 11/16/2018 Last documented health inspection: 12/03/2018 Last documented fire inspection: 06/04/2019 During the inspection, ten children, and ten staff records were reviewed. The following ratios were observed with a total of 118 children present during the inspection: Baby Birds (Infants) - 8 children with 2 staff Baby Birds II (Toddlers) - 9 children with 2 staff Orange Birds 1 (Twos) - 5 children with 1 staff Orange Birds II (Twos) - 12 children with 2 staff Green Birds (Threes and Fours) - 14 children with 2 staff Yellow Birds I (Fours and Fives) - 6 children with 1 staff Yellow Birds II (Fours and Fives) - 9 children with 1 staff Sparrows & Cardinals (School Age) - 18 children with 1 staff Falcons (School Age) - 19 children with 1 staff Hawks & Eagles (School Age) - 18 children with 1 staff A licensing inspection was conducted on the same date as the SHSI supplemental inspection; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. No violations were found during the supplemental subsidy health and safety inspection requirements.
