Technical assistance was provided in the following areas of the standards: 22 VAC 40-185-500 (hand washing and toileting procedures).
- Comments:

An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted on Friday, May 17, 2019 to determine the program's compliance with licensing standards. The inspector arrived at 10:00 am and concluded the inspection at 1:30 pm. The census for today?s inspection consisted of 112 children in the direct care of 17 staff. The center?s director, assistant director, and administrative staff assisted the inspector throughout today?s inspection. During the inspection, children were observed in teacher and self-directed activities including circle time, interest center play, transitions, hand washing, restroom routines, outside time, lunch, and nap. The center is equipped with age appropriate materials and equipment for the children?s use. Staff were engaged with the children and offering guidance when needed. The areas where children receive care were inspected and found to be in compliance. The center had the following posted: license, daily schedule, emergency numbers, evacuation maps, menu and various parent information. The center's first aid kit and non-emergency supplies were inspected and found complete. The center provides transportation and three buses were inspected today. Ten children's records, ten staff?s records, and three medication administration and authorizations were reviewed today. The monthly menu was posted and today?s lunch consisted of cheeseburgers, baked beans, peaches, and milk. There were no violations cited during today?s inspection. Health Inspection: 09/14/2018 Fire Inspection: 06/27/2018 The last documented evacuation drill was held on 04/17/2019. The last shelter-in-place drill was documented on 09/17/2018.
