An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted beginning at 8:15 a.m. and ending at 10:30 a.m. with the director. There were 72 children in care ranging in age from 4 months to 8 years of age under the care and supervision of 13 staff. School-agers were observed leaving for the bus run to school. Infants were observed having play time on the floor, in various infant equipment such as swings and being held. Older infants were observed during music and dance time. Toddlers were observed during centers that included puzzles. Preschoolers were observed during reading, centers that included imagination play and manipulatives. PreK was observed during centers that included puzzles, drawing, art and manipulatives. Kindergarten was observed watering plants, building with blocks and other manipulatives. The outdoor play areas and playgrounds were inspected. Eleven medications and authorizations were reviewed. Nine children's records and five staff records were reviewed. Staff training hours were reviewed and exceed the required annual hours. Emergency drills are up to date. Liability insurance is current. The last fire inspection was 10/18/2018 and the last health inspection was 11/16/2018.
