Emergency plans and parent authorization for transportation for the summer camp program were discussed with the program director.

An unannounced, mandated renewal inspection was conducted today. The inspector arrived at 10:50 AM and departed at 12:40 PM. Four children were in care with two staff. Morning activities, routine, outdoor play and lunch service were observed. Two caregiver records and a sample size of five children's records were reviewed. The record for a potential new employee was reviewed. It was reported that no medication is administered to children in care. Injury records were reviewed. An exit meeting was conducted with the program director prior to closure of the inspection.

Standard #: 22VAC40-185-60-A Description: Based upon review of five children's records and staff interview, the facility has not ensured that each child's record includes the child's first date of attendance. Evidence: 1. The record provider for child 1 did not have documented the first date of attendance. 2. Staff 1 acknowledged that the first date of attendance was not in the record of child 1. Plan of Correction: The facility responded with the following: The first date of attendance will be documented in each child's record.
Standard #: 22VAC40-185-560-F Description: Based upon observation and staff interview, the facility has not ensured that a menu of foods served for a one week period is dated and posted. Evidence: 1. The posted menu is dated for the month of March. 2. Staff 1 verified that the posted menu is dated for March. Plan of Correction: The facility responded with the following: A menu will be posted each week for the one week period.
