The licensing inspector conducted a subsidy health and safety inspection Monday, June 3, 2019 from 10:10am to 12:55pm to review supplemental health and safety requirements. The children were observed playing in learning centers, playing on the playground, having a morning snack, and practicing for the upcoming graduation. The infants were observed playing on the floor and sleeping in their cribs. All classrooms were inspected today, as well as the playgrounds. 10 children?s records and 10 employee records were reviewed during this inspection. Medication is being administered and was reviewed. The center's first aid kit and emergency supplies were inspected. Last emergency drill: 05/16/2019 Last shelter-in-place drill: 03/19/2019 Last lockdown drill: 12/04/2018 Health Inspection: 05/29/2019 Fire Inspection: 06/28/2018 Today, the following child to staff ratios were observed: Lobsters (6weeks-12 months) -10:3 Dolphins (12months -18 months)- 10:3 Hermit Crabs (15months-24 months)- 7:2 Sea Turtles (24 months-30 months)- 10:2 Squids (2.5 years old-3 years old)-16:3 Pelicans ( 3-3.5 years old)- 18:2 Jellyfish (3-4 years old)-18:2 Seahorses (3-4 years old)-14:2 Smart Sharks (4-5 years old)- 17:2 Sting Rays (4-5 years old)-18:2 Whales (Pre-K)-7:1 Kindergarten-18:1 School-Age-not present A licensing inspection was conducted on the same date as the SHSI supplemental inspection; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. No violations of the supplemental subsidy health and safety requirements were found.
