A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted today from 10:25am to 2:15pm to review supplemental health and safety requirements. A total of 81 children were present with 16 caregivers. The children were engaged in the following: practicing writing, counting, doing crafts, eating lunch and playing outside. Programming, menu, emergency procedures, 7 medications, and 8 children?s records and 7 staff records were reviewed. A licensing inspection was also conducted this date; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. Violations were found during the supplemental subsidy health and safety inspection requirements and are identified on the Violation Notice. Standard #: 22VAC40-665-580-F Description: Based on review of 7 staff records, 1 staff record did not contain documentation of completion of first aid training. Evidence: 1. Staff #5 (Date of Hire: 4/9/18) does not have documentation of completion of first aid training on file. Plan of Correction: Staff has completed CPR training prior to hire, however, card in file does not stated "First Aid." Staff has completed updated course part one and will take the skills test first available.
