An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted on Thursday, August 15, 2019 to determine the program's compliance with licensing standards. The inspector arrived at 8:35am and concluded the inspection at approximately 9:45am. The census for the inspection consisted of 20 children in the direct care of two staff. Two volunteers were present with the staff and the children throughout the inspection. Upon the inspector's arrival, the children were observed in the main classroom singing songs as a group. The children were preparing for their morning snack and were later observed as they lined up to take bathroom breaks and wash their hands. The staff were observed having positive interactions with the children. The areas where the children receive care were inspected and found to be in compliance. The center had the following posted: license, daily schedule, emergency numbers, evacuation maps, menu, and various parent information. The center's first aid kit and non-emergency supplies were inspected and found complete. Five children's records and five staff records were reviewed during the inspection. There are no medications on site at this time. An evacuation drill was documented on 08/02/2019 and the most recent shelter-in-place drill was documented on 08/02/2019.
