A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted on 10/04/2019 from 11:18am to 2:12pm to review supplemental health and safety requirements. The children were observed playing outside, reading, singing, dancing, finishing lunch and napping. A formal observation was completed with Room #2 and Room #5. Lunch consisted of, chicken patties, pineapples, greens and milk. The menu was posted. Interviews were held with staff throughout the inspection, and the inspector interacted with children in each classroom when appropriate. All classrooms and the playground was inspected today.
Five children?s records and five employee records were reviewed during this inspection. Medication is being administered and was reviewed. The center?s injury prevention plan was updated 12/2018.
The center's first aid kit and emergency supplies were inspected.

Today, the following child to staff ratios were observed:

Rm. #3 (Threes, Fours and Fives) - 15:2
Rm. #4 (Threes and Fours) - 17:2
Rm. #5 (Fours and Fives) - 10:1
A licensing inspection was also conducted on this date; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. There were no violations found during the supplemental subsidy health and safety inspection.
