63.2 Child Abuse & Neglect

An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today from 7:00am to 8:15am with program staff. There were 10 children in care at the beginning of the inspection ranging from six to ten years of age supervised by two staff. The children were observed playing with legos, coloring, and playing restaurant with the pretend food and kitchen. Five children?s files were reviewed. Two staff files were reviewed off site previously and are a different inspection. Today an on-site review of documentation was conducted and there are adequate staff certified in CPR, First Aid, and Daily Health Observation. The staff report that there is currently no medication on site, but the program has staff current in Medication Administration Training (MAT). The attendance and emergency drill log were reviewed and in compliance. The first aid kit, flashlight, and battery operated radio were observed.
