An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today from 7:00am to 8:30am with program staff. There were 23 children in care, ranging from five to ten years of age, supervised by two staff. The children were observed reading, playing marble races, and building with blocks. Five children?s records were reviewed. One staff record was reviewed on site and the other staff record will be reviewed off site at the Ron Rosner building later today. A review of required on-site documentation was conducted for staff certified in CPR, First Aid, and Daily Health Observation. The staff report that there are currently no medications on site, but there are staff current in Medication Administration Training (MAT). The attendance and emergency drill log were reviewed. The first aid kit, flashlight, and battery operated radio were observed. Standard #: 22VAC40-185-540-E Description: Based on observation, the program did not have all of the required non-medical emergency supplies. Evidence: The battery operated radio did not turn on during the inspection. Plan of Correction: We will get new batteries.
