A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted on 10/28/2019 from 1:55pm to 5:37pm to review supplemental health and safety requirements. The children were observed learning through play in centers, putting together puzzles, participating in story time and playing on the playground. A formal observation was completed with the Preschool Explorers and Stepping Stones classrooms. The menu was posted. Interviews were held with staff throughout the inspection, and the inspector interacted with children in each classroom when appropriate. All classrooms and playgrounds were inspected today.
Ten children?s records and ten employee records were reviewed during this inspection. Medication is being administered and was reviewed. Seven injury reports were reviewed..
The center's first aid kit and emergency supplies were inspected.

A licensing inspection was conducted on the same date as the SHSI supplemental inspection; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. No violations of the supplemental subsidy health and safety requirements were found.
